Hossam is from Cairo, Egypt and moved to New Orleans in 2010. He was a member of the Egyptian National team. He played 3 years for the University of New Orleans leading the school to reach the finals of the Southland Conference for the first time in school history. He was ranked #4 in the nation in doubles junior year and received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American honors in 2012. He was also named Louisiana Freshman of the year in 2011, All- Louisiana second team years 2011/2013 and All-American Academics 3 consecutive years. After graduating, Hossam was a graduate assistant coach at UNO assisting both Men’s and Women’s teams for two seasons and helped both teams reach conference semi finals.
Hossam was also the Varsity Head Coach for Isidore Newman High School for 8 seasons. He led both the boy’s and the girl’s teams to win 6 State Championships collectively. Hossam has been coaching top ranked juniors and helping them achieve their goals. He is PTR & USPTA certified. Hossam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management.
